Woronora's homes sit on a narrow floodplain either side of the river, linked by the old Woronora Bridge. The river has flooded many times, most recently in July 2022, so where the outdoor unit goes matters more here than almost anywhere else in the Shire.

Air conditioning in Woronora has to be planned around the river. Many homes sit on a floodplain that has gone under several times since 2000, so outdoor units and electrical connections should be kept as high as practical. The valley also traps damp morning air and still summer heat. Alpha & Omega has been installing systems in Shire homes since 1989.
Don't switch it back on. Floodwater and mud get into electrical parts and the coil, and running a flood-damaged unit can be dangerous. Have it inspected first.

Yes. Constant moisture is hard on electrical connections and can encourage mould in the indoor unit. Regular servicing and a clear drain keep it under control.
